The Bible has a lot to say about angels. So I won't
try to be redundant and teach things a lot of people already have knowledge
about. One of the things that I begin to see is there is gonna be a tremendous
release of the ministry of angels in the last days. Since we are in the last
days, we need to know how to flow with that. The bible speaks against worshipping
angels, and how we are not to pray to angels.
There are principals and functions of angels, different
category of angels that do different things. The teaching of angels if it
does not do anything else, to me it's a confidence builder. Cause you know
when the angels are there, everything's gonna be all right. It is not possible
for you lose when the angels are with you.
Psalm 91:11-12 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you
in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not
strike your foot against a stone.
Psalm 103:20 praise the Lord; you His angels, you mighty ones who do His
bidding, who obey His word.
So we know that angels excel in strength, they don't
do their will, and they don't do our will, they do His commandment. They harken
unto the voice of His word. When God speaks, the angels go to work to bring
it to pass. Let me tell you why I believe angelic visitation shall increase
in the last days. Here are a few statistics.
I n the Old Testament angels are mentioned 108
times. In the lives of the patriarchs, they intervened in the lives of Abraham
and Jacob. In Moses and the books that Moses wrote, there are 32 different
mentions of angelic help. In the history books of the bible there are 37 times
angels are related to the building of the Kingdom of Israel. In the poetic
books of the bible, the Psalms refer to the angels as helping protecting,
and delivering the people of God. All the Major Prophets except Jeremiah speak
of angelic or elude of angelic ministry.
Daniel gives us the name of two archangels, Michael
and Gabriel. The Minor Prophets Hosea, and Zechariah, speaks of the operation
of angels. Now in the New Testament though it is smaller, angels are mentioned
165 times. And so there is an increase in their mention.
The gospels are filled with the operation of angels.
The book of Acts has 6 different references of angels ministering to the new
church and the people of God. Paul the apostle continuously referred to the
angels in the books baring his name. James and Peter speak of the ministry.
Now watch this.
The book of Revelations, though the smallest and the
last book of the bible speaks of angels 65 times. There is an increase in
the understanding and mentioning of angels the further we get to the end of
the age. The more strategic and important their work is gonna be.
When Jacob was blessing his sons at the end of his
life, he talked about the angel that had delivered him out of his troubles.
He knew he had an angel.
Many times we don't understand because we haven't
always had like a personal intervention with angels, that we knew about. Many
times we don't realize that we would not be here tonight had it not been for
the angels of the Lord that been camped out around us. They are not there
to be seen and to get the glory. They know how superstitious and easily deceived
people are. If the angels were to show up to everybody, there would be a whole
movement in the body Christ worshipping angels. And if angels showed up visibly
in one city in America, everybody would want to move there. And they would
lose the glory of God. It is not that angels though cannot be seen, most of
the time they are not seen.
The Bible says the spirit speaks expressibly that
in the last days many shall depart from their faith, giving heed to seducing
spirits and doctrine of devils. And many unclean spirits would go out into
the land. And so there are unclean spirits that had been reserved, and are
being released specifically on strategic assignments. To counter act that,
for when sin does abound, grace does much more abound, there is a heightened
ministering operation of angels in the lives of people, and in churches and
cities.
The church that lives in a spiritual climate like
we do, must come out of deception. Must be firmly rooted and grounded in the
truth. We must understand and use everything that is at our disposal. You
must know how to use the weapons of your warfare. It is no longer optional
not to know about warfare. It is no longer optional not to be filled with
the Holy Spirit, and with power. You need to have strength to stand and to
witness.
We need to know how to activate angels; we need to
know how they function and what they do so that we don't block their ministry.
Great people through out the age understood that they were allowed to do things
because of the angels that were assigned to them.
I believe that when a person is born that God assigns
angels to them. How many? We don't know, what all they do? We don't know.
The bible doesn't give us a complete teaching. But Matthew 18 talks about
little children and says that you are not supposed to offend these little
children. Because these little children don't you know, their angels, who
will always behold the face of their Father.
